We award Trophies based on the skill and/or stamina of the player you are attacking. This is reflected in their Trophy score, with very slight adjustments depending on the attacking player's Ascension Level. Most skilled players, especially players with strong defences, have higher Trophy scores, and therefore you gain more Trophies for beating them. Weak players have less Trophies and therefore are not worth as much when they are attacked.
