Currencies in Olympus Rising

You can find the following five currencies in Olympus Rising:

Gold:

This is the standard currency in Olympus Rising.

You can earn Gold:

• from your Gold Temple
• from Chests in the Vault of Hephaestus
• from Treasure Chests
• by selling Items
• by successfully attacking other Islands
• by trading Gems for Gold
• from the Islands under your domination

You can use it for:

• building and upgrading your Buildings, Troops, Powers, and Waves
• buying Item chests
• buying Decorations
• making donations to your Alliance

 

Gems:

This is the most valuable currency in Olympus Rising.

You can earn Gems:

• by purchasing one of the many Gem Packages in the shop
• from Chests in the Vault of Hephaestus
• from Treasure Chests
• by completing Quests

You can use them for:

• speeding up any upgrade
• buying Workers
• upgrading your Alliance Hall of Uranus
• buying Hero Items
• using Powers in battle
• unlocking skill and troop slots for heroes
• leveling up your Hero
• donations to your Alliance (Only available if you already bought Gems in the past)
• Hiring a Defense Fleet to protect your Island's resources

 

Wisdom:

This is a secondary currency used to strengthen your Island.

You can earn Wisdom:

• in the Theater of Dionysos (stored in the Library of Wisdom)
• from Chests in the Vault of Hephaestus
• from Treasure Chests
• by trading Gems for Wisdom

You can use it for:

• building or upgrading Buildings, Defense Obstacles, Defense Waves, Units, and Powers

 

Dominance:

Dominance allows you to unlock more Heroes and discover new sectors on the map. You cannot lose Dominance and it will not decrease when you "spend" it to unlock something.

You can earn Dominance:

• when completing an attack with a 100% rating
• from chests in the Vault of Hephaestus
• from Treasure Chests
• from the Islands under your domination

You can use it for:

• unlocking Heroes
• discovering new parts of the Map

 

Ambrosia:

Ambrosia allows you to play and fight!

You can earn Ambrosia:

• from the Ambrosia Temple (Ambrosia is stored in the Ambrosia silo)
• from chests in the Vault of Hephaestus
• from Treasure Chests
• by using Gems to refill your Silo
• from the Islands under your domination

You can use it for:

• attacking other Islands
• traveling from one Island to another
• resurrecting your Hero during a battle
