Card breakdown

  1. Card border: cards with a gold borders are Warlords, those with grey borders are Bodyguards. You must have one Warlord and up to eight Bodyguards in your deck.
  1. Rarity: determined by the background colour of this area and the glow around the card. There are four rarities:
    • Grey = Common
    • Orange = Rare
    • Red = Epic
    • Blue = Legendary
  1. Points cost: each card costs points to include in your deck - the higher the points the more powerful the card.
  1. Faction: the faction you pick will determine which cards you can include in your deck.
  1. Wounds: the amount of damage this card can take before being defeated and removed from the battlefield. If this happens to your Warlord, you lose the battle immediately!
  1. Ranged attack: a long-distance attack. The value shows the damage it will inflict if you choose this attack type.
  1. Psychic attack: powerful and rare, these are particularly effective against non-psychic cards (melee or ranged). The value shows the damage it will inflict if you choose this attack type.
  1. Melee attack: a close combat attack. The value shows the damage it will inflict if you choose this attack type.
  1. Buffed / de-buffed attacks: if any of the numbers are green then that attack has been ‘buffed’, increasing the damage that the next attack of this type will do. If the number is red (like in the example) then it has been ‘de-buffed’ reducing the effect.
  1. Ready stat: every card has one stat which is altered when the card ‘Readies’ and this icon shows which stat that is.
  1. Name, description and Citadel miniature: Warhammer Combat Cards display only official Citadel miniatures painted by Games Workshop’s professional (‘Eavy Metal) team. Check your favorite figurines by collecting them all!
